Constant Voltage Tunable White COB LED
Constant-voltage (CV) tunable white COB LED modules run directly from standard 24V / 48V rails — no per-module constant-current driver channel. For long LED runs, distributed engines and modular fixture architectures, CV tuning dramatically simplifies the electrical design.

TYANSHINE CV tunable white modules integrate factory-calibrated channel balancing, so warm/cool output consistency is locked at the module — the fixture manufacturer handles only a clean 24V/48V rail and PWM dimming.
Why CV + Tunable White Is a Natural Pair
Tunable white needs two precisely balanced channels. In a CV architecture:
- Both channels share one stabilized voltage rail — supply-induced color shift is eliminated
- Warm/cool ratio is set by PWM duty cycle, giving flicker-compatible digital dimming
- Modules can be daisy-chained: one rail powers an entire wash wall with consistent CCT
- Fixture variants (different lengths/outputs) reuse the same electrical architecture
Design Notes for Fixture Engineers
- Rail regulation: keep rail drop under ~3% along the run, or distribute feed points
- PWM frequency: ≥ 1–2kHz for camera work to avoid banding (see camera color metrics)
- Thermal design: CV modules still need the full thermal chain — see the COB thermal management guide
- CCT windows: available across the platform's 1800K–7000K windows (e.g. 2700K–6000K, 3000K–4000K)
