High-CRI Tunable White COB LED
High-CRI tunable white COB LED modules are the light engine of choice for broadcast studios, film sets, museum lighting and color-critical retail — anywhere a fixture must render skin tones, fabrics and artwork faithfully while sweeping continuously from warm to cool white.
What “High-CRI” Means Here
TYANSHINE high-CRI tunable white platforms are engineered around three commitments:
- CRI up to 95 in the standard lineup, with CRI 98 configurations available for camera-critical applications
- Strong R9 (saturated red) — the metric CRI alone hides; essential for natural skin rendering (see our guide on CRI, R9 and TLCI)
- MacAdam 3-step binning on both channels, so unit-to-unit color stays consistent across a fleet
High CRI Across the Whole CCT Range
A high CRI figure at one CCT is easy; holding color quality across the mixing range is the engineering challenge. TYANSHINE TW COB platforms pair phosphor-converted warm and cool dies with calibrated mixing curves, controlling Duv across the range:
| CCT window | Coverage | Typical application |
|---|---|---|
| 2700K–6000K | Full warm-to-daylight | Broadcast, studio, museum |
| 2700K–7000K | Extended cool end | Film, virtual production, retail daylight |
| 3000K–5500K | Neutral window | Commercial and architectural |
| 1800K–4000K | Warm-leaning, candle-capable | Hospitality, film warm looks |
| 2700K–4000K | Warm office / residential premium | Hotels, restaurants |
| 3000K–4000K | Tight warm-neutral | Retail display |
Single-LES Mixing: Why COB Wins for High-CRI TW
Both channels share one phosphor dome and one light-emitting surface, so the beam shows no color separation, no color shadows, and one reflector serves both channels. In discrete SMD warm/cool arrays, color quality degrades exactly where high-CRI matters most: short-throw and close-to-subject applications.
